If you look for the worst in people, you will find it. If you look for the best in people, you will also find it. It truly is that simple.
Sometimes in our dealings and relationships with people, we fail to understand that they are just people and are not infallible. We seek perfection in others even while we are flawed and when there’s probably one slip on their part, that is all we set our eyes on.
First impressions last the longest, I know. But sometimes, we need to give others a break, cut them some slack. Your first impression of me might be gotten when I’m having a rough day. It might form the foundation of your idea of my person, but it doesn’t tell you the most important thing about me.
There is always more to a person than meets the natural eye at first. If at first you look and do not see good in a person, pray, look and look again.
We’re all struggling. Some more burdened than others.
I am rambling. There’s so much on my mind that I need to get out but I’m not really making much sense.
Maybe this is my point, maybe this isn’t. Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves. If they fail once, by all means, give them a second chance. But do not make a permanent opinion of anyone based solely on a first impression.
It’s midnight and my mind is clouded but I hope you find a thing or two in my rambles.
Goodnight.
Clean Slates and Marathons
There’s something about starting off the New Year with a frenzy that never gets old. We tend to feel like...
A lot of sense in this post.
“live and let live…”
You get it.
Thank you 🙂
Saw something somwhere ishhh I can’t remember about not dipping out on people everytime they make a mistake or do something that ideally in our head we would not do unless we might end up not having anyone. I say we should always feel free to distance ourselves when we feel like we are getting drained but like Oge posted we should learn to cut people some slack.
Yeah, pretty much.
I believe in 2nd, 3rd and even 4th chances sometimes. Anything beyond that is simply pushing it.
But yeah, you get it.
Thanks for your insight as well
